Special Circumstances

• To request reconsideration of your award due to any of the following circumstances which have affected your family’s financial situation, or other special circumstances, please complete the Financial Aid Evaluation, and submit all requested documentation:
  • Loss of Employment or loss of benefits (child support, social security, etc.)
  • Separation or Divorce
  • Death of parent or spouse
  • Unusual out-of-pocket expenses (medical, dental, etc.) (may include expenses paid by 401K withdrawal or other one-time distributions)
  • 2007-2008 Financial Aid Evaluation
  • 2008-2009 Financial Aid Evaluation
• If you do not meet any of the criteria in the Department of Education definition of an Independent Student, but would like to request that your dependency status be reevaluated based on extenuating family circumstances, please complete a Request for Change of Dependency Status
  • 2007-2008 Change of Dependency Status 
  • 2008-2009 Change of Dependency Status
• To request an adjustment in your estimated cost of attendance in order to assist with additional educational related expenses please complete the appropriate form and attach any requested documentation.
  • Child Care or Dependent Care Expenses
  • Additional Educational Expenses (books, supplies, computer, or out of pocket expenses)
