Some additional requirements may exist for certain grant types. Office of
Financial Aid will award all eligible students any grant amount that they may
qualify for.

Texas Tech University Announces New Retention Grants to
Qualifying Students
- The Office of Student Financial Aid would like to announce a new grant program
to assist students in achieving their educational goals, the TTU Retention
Grant. The grant will be administered to qualifying students beginning Spring
2008. The TTU Retention Grant will be awarded for spring 2008 to Freshman and
Sophomore students attending fall 2007 who meet the following initial
eligibility criteria: Have a cumulative GPA of 2.25 or higher at the end of the
Fall 2007 semester Have an initial unmet need (Cost of Attendance minus
Estimated Family Contribution) of $10,000 or
more
Stafford Loan

Awarded based on FAFSA data, calculated need, and student’s grade
classification

Annual and aggregate loan limits will apply. Please visit the Department of
Education, Student Financial Aid portal for more Stafford loan information

To receive loan funds, students must e-sign their Master Promissory Note (MPN).
Students can access Loans by Web to complete the loan process via their
RaiderAid.

Texas Tech evaluates participating Stafford loan lenders based on criteria
relevant to our students. For more information on lender selection, you may
view our criteria.
Parent Plus Loan

Available for dependent undergraduate students only

Borrower initiated (Parent applies directly through lender of choice)

FAFSA is recommended, however if you will not be completing the FAFSA, please
send notification to Student
Financial Aid.
